13+ Common Entrance Preparation
13+ Common Entrance is sat in Year 8 for entry to UK senior independent schools. The core papers are English and Maths (Maths at up to three levels), with Science and, at some schools, languages and humanities. Papers are set centrally and marked by the receiving school.
Where OjasaLearn helps
- Maths — arithmetic fluency, fractions and percentages, early algebra, geometry and problem solving across all three levels.
- English — comprehension, vocabulary and the grammar that underpins strong writing.
- Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning — optional, but they sharpen the reading and pattern skills both papers reward.
How to use it
Type any topic your child finds hard into Advanced Learning for a step-by-step lesson and a quiz, keep fundamentals sharp in Skill Academy, and build exam stamina with timed mock papers. OjasaLearn is not affiliated with ISEB, and does not cover Common Entrance Science or languages.
How is 13+ different from 11+?
It is sat two years later, the Maths goes further, and the English expects more developed writing. The method — learn, practise, test under time — is the same.
