Verbal Reasoning Practice
Verbal Reasoning tests how well a learner works with words and logic under time pressure. It appears in the 11+, in independent-school pre-tests, and in reasoning batteries such as CAT4 and CogAT.
Question types
- Word analogies and relationships (A is to B as C is to ?)
- Odd one out; closest and opposite meanings
- Letter sequences and letter-based codes
- Number sequences and number logic embedded in words
- Hidden words, compound words, and word–letter shuffles
- Reading a rule from an example and applying it
How to get faster
Each type has a repeatable method. OjasaLearn teaches the method, then builds speed with timed drills and progressive hints, and tracks which types are still slow so practice stays targeted. Full practice tests mirror GL and CEM timing.
