ACER & Edutest Scholarship Test Preparation
ACER and Edutest run the scholarship and entrance exams for many Australian independent schools, across several year levels. Both test comprehension, mathematics and reasoning, with a written-expression task.
What they cover, and where OjasaLearn fits
- Reading Comprehension and interpreting information — English comprehension practice.
- Mathematics — computation and problem solving; Maths in Skill Academy.
- Verbal Reasoning — word logic and analogies; our Verbal Reasoning strand.
- Numerical / Quantitative Reasoning — number-logic and sequence work.
- Written Expression — OjasaLearn builds the reading and vocabulary base; Advanced Learning can teach essay and story structure as a topic, but timed writing is marked separately.
ACER vs Edutest
Different providers, similar skills. ACER (Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program) leans on humanities-style comprehension; Edutest has distinct Verbal and Numerical Reasoning sections. OjasaLearn practice covers the common ground and adapts difficulty to your child. OjasaLearn is not affiliated with ACER or Edutest.
Is this only for scholarships?
No — the same exams are often used for general entrance. The preparation is identical.
