English Practice
Strong English rests on grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, spelling and reading comprehension — the foundations of accurate reading and confident writing. OjasaLearn covers each with an animated lesson that explains the rule, shows worked examples, then tests understanding.
What it covers
- Reading comprehension — retrieval, inference, author's purpose and the effect of language
- Vocabulary — synonyms, antonyms, homophones, prefixes, suffixes and meaning from context
- Spelling patterns and commonly confused words
- Punctuation — apostrophes, commas, speech marks, colons, semicolons and dashes
- Grammar — word classes, tenses, subject–verb agreement, active and passive voice
- Sentence structure, figurative language and 11+ English topics
How the practice works
Comprehension passages come with a full question set and worked answers that point back to the exact line in the text. Vocabulary is built with spaced repetition so it is retained, not crammed. Difficulty adapts to the learner, and weak areas are surfaced so revision time goes where it counts.
What age is this for?
Designed for children roughly 8–11, building from spelling and punctuation up to inference and figurative language.
Does this help with entrance and reasoning tests?
Yes — comprehension and vocabulary are the core of verbal reasoning and most entrance exams.
