Northern Ireland Transfer Test Preparation
Grammar school entry in Northern Ireland now uses a single standardised assessment, run by SEAG, covering English and Maths at Key Stage 2 level. It replaced the previously separate AQE (CEA) and GL (PPTC) tests.
What it tests
- English — reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary.
- Maths — number, fractions and decimals, measures, shape and multi-step problems.
- Multiple-choice technique — reading carefully, checking, and pacing.
