Northern Ireland Transfer Test Preparation

Grammar school entry in Northern Ireland now uses a single standardised assessment, run by SEAG, covering English and Maths at Key Stage 2 level. It replaced the previously separate AQE (CEA) and GL (PPTC) tests.

How OjasaLearn prepares your child

OjasaLearn is not a past-paper archive. It teaches the underlying English and Maths, then gives unlimited fresh timed questions and full mock tests, auto-marked with per-topic feedback so you can see exactly what to revisit. Optional verbal and non-verbal reasoning practice sharpens the pattern-spotting and careful reading the assessment rewards. OjasaLearn is not affiliated with SEAG, AQE or GL Assessment.

When should preparation start?

Most families start in P6 with short regular sessions, moving to timed full papers in the months before the assessment.

Why practise reasoning if the test is only English and Maths?

Reasoning practice builds the exact skills the test rewards — quick pattern recognition and not being thrown by unfamiliar phrasing.
