Selective School Test Preparation
Australia's selective high school tests — the NSW Selective High School Placement Test and the Victorian selective entry exam — assess Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills and Writing, sat in Year 6 for Year 7 entry.
Sections and OjasaLearn
- Reading — comprehension and inference; covered by English comprehension practice.
- Mathematical Reasoning — multi-step, worded problems; covered by Maths in Skill Academy and topic drills.
- Thinking Skills — logic, argument analysis and pattern problems; the same material as our Verbal Reasoning and cross-topic puzzle work.
- Writing — OjasaLearn builds the reading and language base; timed writing to a prompt is best practised alongside.
How to prepare
Start light in Year 4–5, build fundamentals, then move to full timed papers in Year 6. Every mock test is auto-marked with per-topic feedback. OjasaLearn is not affiliated with the NSW Department of Education or any Australian test provider.
