SSAT Test Preparation
The SSAT is used for entry to independent and private schools in the US and internationally, at Elementary, Middle and Upper levels. Its Quantitative, Verbal and Reading sections rest on fundamentals OjasaLearn builds from the basics.
SSAT sections and OjasaLearn
- Quantitative — arithmetic, early algebra and geometry; covered by Maths in Skill Academy.
- Verbal — synonyms and verbal analogies; a core part of our Verbal Reasoning strand, taught as a method ("A is to B as C is to ?").
- Reading Comprehension — varied fiction and non-fiction passages; covered by English comprehension work.
- Writing sample — unscored; OjasaLearn builds the vocabulary and structure base underneath it.
Scoring and technique
The SSAT applies a small penalty for wrong answers, so OjasaLearn practice also builds the judgement of when to answer and when to skip. Vocabulary is trained with spaced repetition so words come back for review at increasing intervals. OjasaLearn is not affiliated with the SSAT Board (EMA).
Can an international applicant use OjasaLearn for the SSAT?
Yes — the Maths and reasoning question types are the same worldwide; comprehension practice adapts to the passages given.
